On Thursday evening, May 16, for the first time in nearly a decade, United Teachers of Dade, will have a new president. The gavel will pass from Karen Aronowitz to Fed Ingram, a high school band director and the 2006 Miami-Dade Teacher of the Year, who is still in his thirties. Ingram will lead the state’s largest teachers union.
