M-DCPS Maintenance Center II Reaches 100% UTD Membership

On June 12 Zebelyn Christian, Designated Building Steward was celebrating reaching 100% UTD membership at the Maintenance Center II. Valda McKinney, UTD Organizer, Sharon Williams, Board Member, and Secretary-Treasurer Karla Hernandez-Mats were in attendance. They received UTD bags and Zebelyn Christian won three tickets to the Marlins game.

UTD and Miami Springs High School Host Ceremony to Honor PFC Carter, U.S. Marines (decd.)

Miami Springs, FL – Private First Class Bruce Wayne Carter, who was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for heroism in Vietnam August 1969, is the only Medal of Honor recipient from Miami-Dade County. He attended Henry H. Filer Middle School and Miami Springs Senior High School in Miami-Dade County.
