All Bargaining Unit Members are eligible to vote, however, you must be present at the meeting to vote. THE UTD BARGAINING UNIT CONSISTS OF ALL TEACHERS, TEMPORARY INSTRUCTORS, STUDENT SERVICES PERSONNEL, PARAPROFESSIONALS, SCHOOL SUPPORT PERSONNEL AND OFFICE/FULL-TIME CLERICAL PERSONNEL WHO ARE NOT CONFIDENTIAL EXEMPT, REGARDLESS OF THEIR MEMBERSHIP STATUS IN UTD.

You may also vote at any other work location at the designated voting time using the Challenge Ballot.

On Tuesday, May 22, 2012, you will be conducting a vote to re-ratify the last three contract agreements we reached with M-DCPS. The Florida Public Employees Relations Commission (PERC) has ordered us to re-vote these issues, and we have been advised by counsel that we should proceed with these through the use of a paper ballot. It is vitally important that this vote is conducted in the manner outlined by UTD.

On May 22, 2012, ballots will be tallied at the end of the re-ratification meeting at each polling site. The tally at each site is public and open to all Bargaining Unit members, and the results will be publicly announced. Ballots will be sealed and signed by individuals conducting the re-ratification meeting, and they will bring them to UTD Headquarters, 2200 Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL, by 7:00 p.m. On May 22, 2012, the UTD the IFC will tabulate the results and certify the count, beginning at 3:00 p.m., during a meeting which is also open to all to the public, including bargaining unit members.
