4th Annual SPARKS Retreat a Tremendous Success!
On August 6th through the 8th, The United Teachers of Dade held its Fourth Annual SPARKS Retreat. The SPARKS experience is one that is designed to grow, activate, engage, and develop early career UTD members.
Fully funded through grants, this fun, interactive and informative three day retreat utilized the best techniques of adult learning to provide union members with new skills that will enhance their effectiveness in both their personal and professional lives. After participating in this training, members are more ready to assert themselves as leaders and become involved in issues that further the goals of the United Teachers of Dade within their union, their schools, their communities and within their own careers.
