Carol City Elementary Teacher Named Florida Teacher of the Year
The United Teachers of Dade is thrilled for one of its own, Alexandre Lopes. Alex is the winner of the Macy’s Florida Department of Education Teacher of the Year for 2013. He became the Francisco R. Walker Miami-Dade County Teacher of the Year this past February and became one of the 5 Finalists for the state honor.
Alex is a pre-kindergarten teacher of special need students at Carol City Elementary School.
