Playground at Edison Park Elementary
Let's Play: Designed by Kids, Built by Volunteers
Representatives of the United Teachers of Dade joined more than 200 volunteers from Miami-Dade Public Schools, Edison Park Elementary, organizers from KaBOOM and residents of the Liberty City community on November 18 to build a new playground at Edison Park Elementary.
The project is part of Let's Play, a community partnership led by the Dr. Pepper Snapple Group to get kids and families active nationwide. The new playground will provide more than 350 children in the local community with a safe place to play. The children who attend Edison Park Elementary currently do not have a playground.
