UTD Congratulates the 2012 Steward of the Year
Elizabeth Martinez a paraprofessional from Riverside Elementary was named the 2012 UTD Steward of the Year.
“As Union Steward, there have been many different types of challenges that I have had to face this year. Even though the situations that have arisen have been different in nature, I feel that each issue was resolved in a positive manner." One of the most difficult tasks, I had to learn was how to manage my time effectively. This year, I was involved in many activities at Riverside Elementary and for UTD. I am a member of the Educational Excellence School Advisory Council (EESAC), sponsored the Spelling Bee, am a member of the Career Day Committee and a member of the Hispanic Educators Committee.
